Enzzo Gates: stage-gate in Enzzo

By Maja Gunz · 5 min read · Last updated October 2026

Enzzo Gates is a guided stage-gate program with five gates, from opportunity to engineering specification. Each gate is a list of AI-guided tasks. Each task produces a deliverable, and each gate ends with a gate deck your team can decide from.

How the program works

Enzzo Gates guides a product from opportunity to engineering specification through five gates. At each gate you build evidence and deliverables, so the team can decide whether to proceed, refine scope or stop.

Each task is an AI chat. Enzzo walks you through the work, uses what earlier tasks produced, and saves the output as the task's deliverable. The last task in every gate assembles the gate deck.

If you don't see Stage-Gate Program in your workspace, contact your Enzzo team.

The five gates

Gate

What it proves

1. Opportunity Screen

The opportunity is worth investigating with customers.

2. Problem Validation

Real customers have this problem, and it is valuable enough to justify exploring solutions.

3. Solution Development

Customers value a specific solution direction, and the solution is plausible to build.

4. Business Model Development

The business is investable.

5. Engineering Spec Development

Engineering is ready to execute.

Gate 1, for example, takes you from concept exploration, target segment and proto-persona, user journey and market sizing through competitive landscape, white space and right-to-win, to the Opportunity Screen itself, a risk prospectus and the gate deck. A PR/FAQ task is also available in Gate 1.

Where to find it

In your workspace sidebar, open Stage-Gate Program. You'll see Overview and one item per gate.

• Overview: a summary of the program, the Task Dependency Structure chart and a status card for each gate.

• Gate page: the gate's progress as a percentage, the task list, and a status card with Get Started or Continue for the current task. When the gate is done, Review Deck opens the gate deck.

• Task view: the task chat, with a side panel for Task Progress, Task Owner, Organization Template (a sample of the expected output), Deliverables and Reference Files.

Tasks show one of four statuses: To-Do, In Progress, Done or Locked.

FAQ

Do I have to do the tasks in order?

Tasks are designed to run in order, because later tasks build on earlier output. Enzzo warns you in the chat when earlier work is missing.

Can we change the gates or tasks?

Yes, with the Enzzo team. See Customizing your stage-gate process.

Who decides whether a product moves on?

Your team does. Enzzo builds the evidence and the gate deck that the decision is made from.
